Televisa

The Mexican media company Televisa is alerting users who watch FTA TV channel Las Estrellas online that from October 2 it will be available to them only if they are subscribed to one “pay-TV service”. At the same time, Televisa recommended subscription subscription to TV operator Izzi or OTT Blim, both owned by Televisa. In this way, the aforementioned channel can no longer be seen free of charge through its website.

This change may be directly related to the relaunch of Blim, which a few days ago added live TV networks to its service, including Las Estrellas. Beyond this notice, Televisa did not provide any official explanation.

The company’s other FTA TV channels are also on the OTT platform. Channel 5 and Nu9ve have never been available on the Internet for free, but Foro TV is currently available. Up to now, users have not receive any similar notice regarding Foro TV.
